How can I get AT&T to quit trying to charge me hundreds of dollars for a service never rendered?
A few years back I wanted to accept a trial period of a new internet/phone. I don't remember the name of the company, but after 2 days I knew I did not want that particular service. I called the co. to let them know I would not be using their service. Shortly after I received a bill from AT&T for over $800.They said it was because I did use the trial period of the other company. Anyone else as confused as I am? In Landline Phone Service Asked by sandyg 0 answers (0 videos | 0 audios) 1459 Views 1 month ago Resolved |

I had good success just calling At&t when they made a huge mistake on my phone bill. The mistake was kind of my fault...and I had to spend alot of time on the phone, but they did adjust my bill. Maybe a little peristance would work. Answered by weezie 1 month ago

Well, with the big companys it is hard when there is a mistake on their end and want it to be your problem. Keep calling ATT or go into your credit rating and send them a letter of validity. Answered by azcowboy50 1 month ago

Something about this doesn't seem right to me. I'm not sure how you got billed, but I'm thinking it has something to do with using AT&T's phone lines for another service not "supported" for one reason or another by AT&T (even if the other company said it's ok). Though they weren't lying, it sounds like the other company used misleading information to get you to sign up. Get your AT&T bill, and call your state's utilities commission. They'll help you to sort it out with AT&T. Answered by Editor 1 month ago
