zNot without the towers that are needed, it is a line of sight, so it won't go thru mnts or around them. Dlp is the best set on the market. It uses a microchip and they only thing that goes out on that is a 300.00 light bulb. The set is set up for at leat good for 10,000 hours of conntant watching. You have have to buy the bub, but it it is a small price to pay for a tv set that will last for your lifetime. Some places offer a warranty for the set and the bulb, at reducked prices. Sandg,
Plasma HD TV will not work above 5000 ft, unless they have built towers around the mountains, becuase the signal goes to line of sight. It works well under that height.Plasma are coming down in price but every other one glass ball has a pixel in it with 3 diferent gases that they use. i out of 2 are bad, so if it was for me, i would go with the DLP or LCD. The LCD however has a glitch to it as well, when i color pixel goes out they all go out for that color.

Plasma TV sets don't do well in high altitudes, but there are some manufacturers that build high altitude plasma sets.

Alternatively, high altitudes have no effect on LCD TV sets, and these sets are generally less expensive than plasma. Though you'll get a better picture with plasma, the difference is barely noticeable to the average consumer.
