Dish Network | Satellite TV Packages Daymon in Ohio Dish Family Package for Cheap TV I'm happy with my Dish Network service, but I don't watch a whole lot of TV, so I wanted to downgrade my package. It did cost me $5 to downgrade, but it wasn't a big deal since I would be saving over $50 per month.

One mistake I ALMOST made was sending back my VIP 722k HD DVR! I'm glad I kept it, because after calling to see how much it would cost for me to buy it outright, the Dish representative explained I was not paying for the DVR itself, and never would. Buying it, or sending it back would have been a dumb move on my part.

Unrelated to Dish, I also have a PS3 hooked up to my home entertainment system. With the help of third part software located on my computer called Playon, I'm able to stream from Internet TV sites like Hulu, so I can watch just about anything I like including movies.

A little secret I discovered was Dish Online. If you have a DVR, you can go to the Dish Online section, and filter the results to show free movies, and television shows for download. This little treasure combined with my PS3 gives me all the home entertainment I need for around $30 per month. That's $19.99 for Dish Family, $5 for locals, the DVR service fee, plus tax, and everything combined is about $30 out the door.

I'll probably upgrade in the future, but while I'm pinching pennies this is the best deal out there for cheap TV and entertainment.

Dish Network | Satellite TV Packages Editor Cheap TV Service

I'm not sure how you could possibly get more TV for the money than with Dish Network. Even after the $24.99 a month promo. If you're looking for quality TV service without paying a bunch of money, Dish Network is the way to go.

It's cheaper than cable in most cases, and Dare I say cheaper than DirecTV on it's low end program packages. Don't get me wrong. Dish Network is cheap on price, but not on quality and features. You'll have all the options of any other television provider like, premium channels from HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, Starz, and others. Lots of HD Channels, plus HD-DVR or DVR packages to choose from. Plenty of sports, news, music, and Lationo channels. You name it, Dish has it.
