I just saw a video that said you can save $850 a year with this. That's about $71 a month. I guess that's about right, as I was paying more than a hundred bucks a month before I got Straight Talk.

Straight Talk is absolutely the best cell service I've used. I've had AT&T, Sprint, Boost, T-Mobile, etc.
I'm so glad I learned about Straight Talk and I now have a couple of friends who switched over to it and they're really pleased with the decision!
I never (I mean NEVER) have dropped calls and I'm not in a busy metro area or populated state. When I travel there's never a problem because the coverage is excellent.
I wish Straight Talk would advertise more because it seems to be a pretty unknown service...
Anyway, $45 unlimited talk, text and internet is perfect! I never have to wonder what my 6 page cell phone bills will look like, and what costs are added on. No surprises with this plan! I don't even SEE an invoice. And the phone and service is incredibly reliable! I've been using it for about a year now. May 19th, 2010

over all I have been happy with the straight talk packages. I use GPS on my phone alot as I do not have it in my car. I stay with my old cell company for now only because ST does not offer this feature, I would also like to be able to download my phone contacts to a ST phone, According to customer service neither of the features are available. Go for Straight Talk
I switched to Straight Talk earlier this year. We have two cell phones in our houshold, previously three. We got completely ripped off by one of the major carriers for years. I was always broke due to having to pay those outrageous cell phone bills.
I switched to Straight Talk at the beginning of this year. At first we went with the unlimited plan for $45.00 a month. That was X2 for our two phones (still a savings) We found out by trying it out that we can just use the $30.00 a month plan because we don't really text much, and we have at least 10 hours left at the end of the month for talk time. They have a recorded message that helps us keep track of our time left.
We had an unfortunate accident in the house in which someone fell and accidently knocked a glass of water over, some of which got on one of the cell phones. The phone still worked, but the picture went out. Thinking that I needed to buy another phone because I had passed on the insurance (still broke at the time) I just used it like that for a month. Then when I went to add minutes onto it, I mentioned that the picture didn't work to the Customer Service guy, and I told him the reason.
He instructed me to put the phone in the envelope that they would send to me, along with the power cord, and send it back. Then, when they send me a new phone, I was to call ASAP to add minutes onto it and get it set up. He prefaced it with the statement that each process could take up to 7 business days. Well, I can tell you that the envelope was sent to me from Fed-Ex the next day. I put the phone and charger into it and sent it back immediately. Then the replacement phone came right away. The whole process took less than a week. The phone was still under warranty, and I called to get it set up and add the minutes. I still have my same number, and I thought the service was excellent. I would recommend buying one of these phones from Wal-Mart and using the Straight Talk plan to anybody who is looking for a way to save money on their cell phone. I can take pictures, surf the Web, and text. I can call long distance, and 411 calls are free. This is a very good thing. May 13th, 2010

Straight Talk is amazing, first off the service area is amazing, No dropped call's and i never have to hold my phone out the window to get a signal.Text messaging is a breeze with straight talk,it's fast and fun!activating my new phone was so easy i did eveything online and got a new number,with-in 5 minutes i had service.I have the 45.00 plan and ive never been more happy with a wireless carrier. Straight Talk has been a reliable, efficient prepaid cell plan. You get a ridiculous bang for your buck for $45/mo: unlimited talk/text/data. The Verizon network makes it that much better since I don't have to deal with inadequate coverage and service. Customer service too bolsters my liking for Straight talk. I had questions concerning my plan and got quick, friendly, and helpful service from the telephone representatives. My phone is easy to use with all the great features phones today have. Texting, photos, and video are easy. Great service.

As someone who relies on my phone for work, using huge amounts of minutes and texts per month, the Unlimited plan from Straight Talk has been a revelation. I tried a variety of contracts over the years, including AT&T, Suncom (gone now) and Verizon, and can finally stop shopping around cause this is it! I kept my old number and now use my phone as much as I like without paying more than $45 a month.

I recently switched to Straight Talk as well and there are NO WORDS to describe how happy I am with this company. FIRST OFF- for someone who travels a lot-- not having a contract is UNBELIEVABLE. Straight Talk never uses me and charges me exactly for what I use. I can't even begin to tell you what spending only 45 dollars a month saves you! I used to have a blackberry where I was paying 150 dollars a month! Plus the service is on the Verizon Network-- the exact 3G i was using before!

i used to have verizon,paid an outrageous amount of money for a phone,then signed a 2yr.deal for a calling plan,never used half the features of the phone (they would have costed extra anyway).bottomline plain and simple, if you want a phone for practical use i.e.to actually just text or call someone without all the bells and whistles,which is what i wanted oh so many dollars ago!trust me, get straight talk. i absolutely have no complaints and its very refreshing to do business with a cell phone provider this way. no obligations or commitments, if only marriage was this easy,seriously try it you'll love it !

I travel alot and work in desolent locations on the oil rigs across the united states with this I can travel have better service than I was paying for with At&t. The service is going off of verizon towers and gets the best coverage you can get. I bought out of my contract for this and am very satisfied. I have told all of my freinds about. If your going to complain about porting your number, which wasn't even around till a few years ago, which this service will do it might take a few day.

Forget expensive monthly plans and 2yr contracts!
Got straight talk for Christmas, with the samsung sliding phone, and I love it. I got it activated very easily in just a few minutes (no problems online or with cs by phone) and was talking and texting and browsing the web a few minutes after that. It’s an incredible deal; I have the $30 plan. And that way more than fulfills my needs. Everyone in my family paying insane contracted fees now wants to switch to straight talk lol. Can’t say I blame them. All of these features for only $30-$45 (none of the unwarranted fees attached to the usual plans either), and it’s on verizon’s network, so I’ve had no issues with reception or coverage. I was a little leery of a walmart phone from a new company, with plans that sounded too good too be true, but...best decision ever.

Got straight talk for Christmas, with the samsung sliding phone, and I love it. I got it activated very easily in just a few minutes (no problems online or with cs by phone) and was talking and texting and browsing the web a few minutes after that. AWESOME!!!

Straight Talk is for the Masses
I switched from $print to Straight Talk (www.straighttalk.com) last week and have been completely impressed. They offer LG, Motorola and Samsung and I bought the cute, cedit-card size, cheapo LG100C (US$ 29.95) with the $30 plan and ported my number. Straight Talk is up front about a potential 7 to 30 day wait to port a number. I was prepared to sit through it and pleasantly surprised as service went active in under 24 hours. Very impressed actually. Technojunkies likely won’t be satisfied with their yester-year phone selection, however, I appreciate their affordability in case of loss and breakage (when angry I throw things about). I can switch phones anytime as they offer 8 models. Try that with $print and it’ll cost a fortune as they tie you down for 2 years with an upgrade. For 4+years I endured a lousy $print signal at home, joking that if I had a heart attack I’d have to go to the other room to call for help. Straight Talk utilizes Verizon in my area, a strong signal. Other $print disappointments such as, they wouldn’t honor my Berkshire Hathaway Employee discount when I switched to 200 min basic plan, they wanted extra for nights to start at 7pm, and charged for every text message. Did I mention they renewed a 2 year contact? Good grief! I was thoroughly unhappy with $print, feeling no bond or loyalty, it was time to go. I paid their $140 contract cancelation fee. Not knowing much about Straight Talk, I debated changing for two weeks and switched as $print billed a new cycle. Straight Talk charnged $33 (tax & fee incl) and Internet is included. Day 2 I checked my balance online and found they doubled minutes, from 1000 to 2000, and internet from 30MB to 60MB. Yesterday I signed on for recurring ‘Auto Refill’ (can use a credit or debit card) and after 12 consecutive billings they’ll give a free service month… do the math. On calling Straight Talk Tech Support, I had a long wait on hold. When I got a live person she alternately and politely apologized and thanked me repeatedly, which made the call longer. If you’ve used Tracfone in the past you know their Tech support is poor and they are Tech Support for Straight Talk but it’s much, much better. Walmart must have a performance clause with them. It bothers me not that this is a Walmart marketed product either as I’m a child of the ‘Walmart generation’, raised by parents who didn’t have alot of money. Every wireless provider’s weakness seems to be Customer Service and Tech Support, where Straight Talk could greatly improve. Still I highly rank their service for affordability and value received.
